For the fifth year in a row, AnnieMac Home Mortgage has won a 2017 Top Workplaces award from Philly.com. The award recognizes 125 Philadelphia-area companies based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey.
The award is not a popularity contest, according to Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, the research firm that conducted the surveys. Nor is it all about fancy perks and benefits.
AnnieMac Home Mortgage is among the winners for the 2017 SmartCEO Philadelphia Future 50 Awards, which recognizes the fastest-growing, mid-sized companies in the greater Philadelphia area.

This is the fourth year in a row that AnnieMac has earned this distinction.
An awards ceremony for the recipients will take place Jan. 17 at Drexelbrook Catering & Special Events Center in Drexel Hill, Pa.
Once again, AnnieMac Home Mortgage has been selected as one of the greater Philadelphia region's Best Places to Work. And the judges who made that selection are some of the smartest and most discriminating professionals in the business today — AnnieMac's own employees.

Scotsman Guide has named AnnieMac Home Mortgage among its top mortgage lenders for 2015. The publication's June, 2016, residential edition will list AnnieMac as number 59 in the "top dollar volume" category.
According to Scotsman Guide, AnnieMac was ranked among entries from hundreds of mortgage companies across the country.
To be eligible for the rankings, all loan volume had to be from mortgages on one-to-four-unit residential properties within the United States. No commercial or international loans were included. Scotsman Guide required written verification of top entrants’ volume from a certified public accountant, the chief financial officer at the company or a similar source.
Scotsman Guide describes the rankings as "the mortgage industry's most comprehensive, most intensely verified list of its kind."
A modern-day re-enactment of the David and Goliath story is playing out in Eastern Pennsylvania.
Recent industry reports have AnnieMac as the number one home lender for dollar volume in Lehigh and Northampton counties for March, 2015, through February, 2016, and beating out some well-known industry giants.
Congratulations to Steve Stelzman and Mike Bower's branch on this monumental achievement! It's no wonder they've been voted Lehigh Valley's Best Mortgage Company for 5 years running.
"Mortgage Executive Magazine" recently released its list of the Top 1% Mortgage Originators in America for 2015. And it includes three Licensed Mortgage Originators from AnnieMac — Terri Santiago-Parker, Mike Bower and Steve Slaski.
The magazine began compiling a list of the top 100 mortgage originators in 1995, and expanded the rankings to the top 1% in 2011.
The minimum eligibility criteria are a total "personal" production of at least $30 million in 2015. The entries cannot include loan volume of associate originators or junior originators that earn a commission on the same loan files.
According to Mortgage Executive, the magazine "seeks to recognize and celebrate the service, dedication, and hard work that leading mortgage professionals put into serving their clients during the home loan process."
The Spring, 2016, issue of "Mortgage Executive Magazine" lists AnnieMac Home Mortgage among its Top 100 Mortgage Companies in America for 2015.
According to the magazine, the purpose of the list is to showcase the nation's top 100 closely held mortgage companies and publicly traded banks as ranked by their total yearly mortgage volume. The article notes that this is a time of great economic uncertainty, and commends the firms that made the list for their ability to turn that uncertainty to their advantage.
"'Mortgage Executive Magazine' seeks to recognize and celebrate the service, dedication and hard work that mortgage originators, managers and executives put into building their companies and serving their clients," the article states.
Once again, AnnieMac Home Mortgage was honored by being named among Philly.com's "Top Places to Work" in the Philadelphia region for 2016.
